Porsche Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI)

We at Parr use our extensive experience to provide you with a thorough Porsche Pre-Purchase Inspection report, covering the vehicle’s condition and history. Parr uses the latest Porsche testing and diagnostics equipment to enable us to carry out comprehensive and multi-point checks. Our experienced and trained Porsche technicians will inspect and test drive your car to allow them to make sure all is in working order.

We offer a trailered collection and delivery service as well as a car rental service.

Pre-Purchase Inspection will include:

• Pre-road Test and level checks – 7 checks inc. engine oil
• Electrical Function Test – 33 checks inc. alarm system
• Mechanical test – 10 checks inc. seatbelts
• Condition Check – 21 checks inc. engine and brakes
• Road Test – 15 checks inc. handling and ABS
• Post Road Test – final check for leaks and anything untoward

Bore Scope

This check is advised for water-cooled engines to highlight any cylinder bore damage.

Parr provides a visual report on the bore condition by taking images or videos of each individual cylinder.

As engine repairs can be expensive Parr highly recommends this is carried out in conjunction with any pre-purchase inspection.

Cylinder Loss Test

For air-cooled engines, we recommend an engine cylinder loss test to highlight any piston ring and valve seat wear.

Parr can provide accurate percentage losses for each cylinder and reference this against optimum engine data. Depending on the results this test may highlight the need for engine rebuild work, so it is recommended to carry these checks in conjunction with a pre-purchase inspection.
