Parr Motorsport scored another double podium at Oulton Park with Sean Hudspeth taking third in ProAm1 and a ProAm2 second place with Peter Kyle-Henney.
Sean Hudspeth drove well, holding his position off the line and pressured the two leaders throughout the race, before having to conserve his tyres. There was clearly plenty of pace left at the end of the race however as he set his fastest time on the 11thlap of the 13 lap race. It bodes well for round six as he builds in confidence.
Peter started on pole but was forced onto the grass at the first corner after the rolling start to the race. Nevertheless he was able rejoin in second and was able to keep the leader honest for the duration of the race on his way to second place and podium finish.

“The race overall went well. We had a good start and I just kept pace with the guys in front, trying to pressurise them into a mistake. Towards the end of the race we were struggling a little bit with the tyres so we‘ll have to find a couple of tenths. We are working on it though and we know what to do in race two.”
Peter Kyle-Henney (ProAm2) Grid Pole, Race 2nd
“That was good. The story started yesterday with the consistency that has come through the weekend. Josh gave me some really good tips in terms of what to do out there for the race. I was using third and fourth in different place depending where I was and who was in front of me. It was just unfortunate that I was out on the grass at turn one but we brought it back on and chased him down.”
Josh Webster – Driver Coach
“It has been a good day. I think for Pete it was a good race, it was a shame about the first lap but he kept calm and was very fast. Tomorrow will be another opportunity for him to get on the podium. Sean has never been here before so to go P3 in the race was really, really good, and I think we can only make improvements from here.“
Paul Robe – Team Principal
“We have to be happy as Oulton Park is always tough with 24/25 cars on it. Our guys were in the middle of the pack relatively, so those first few corners are always hectic and a lot can happen. To come out with the two results we got was fantastic.”
“Sean had never been here before and improved all through the weekend, finding his feet with the car and with the circuit, I’m really happy with the third place. The realistic attitude is we’ve done well given that he has never tested here before but we’ll see how we can improve for race two.”
“Peter didn’t quite make the start work from pole. He got pushed back to second but was really racing well through the whole race. He had pressure from behind but was also able to push the guy in front. The fastest laps were all within a hundredth of a second so I have to be happy with that. It’s a great result for the team.”
