TECHART brings its DNA to a classic 911 for the first
time.
TECHART opens a new chapter in its company history. With the GTclassic, TECHART
presents a bespoke vehicle of its own: 380 hp from a 3.8-liter air-cooled engine,
comprehensively enhanced vehicle technology and a design developed down to the finest
detail – without losing sight of the identity of the 911. Only 11 examples will be built.

For almost four decades, TECHART has stood for the combination
of technology, design and German engineering. With the GTclassic, the company brings this
DNA to a classic 911 for the first time, expanding its portfolio with a distinctive vehicle concept
in this segment. The result is what TECHART calls an authentic driver’s car: emotional, analogue
and immediate like a classic, yet precise and composed like a modern sports car.
“Our aim was not to reinvent the classic. Our aim was to take it further. Performance and modern
drivability come together with precision, cohesive design and the commitment to quality that
has defined TECHART since 1987,” says Benedict von Canal, CEO of TECHART.
Every detail, deliberately defined.
The GTclassic is created through a curated process of restoration and refinement. Its technical
foundation is a Porsche 911 from the 964 model series. In terms of design, the GTclassic
deliberately draws inspiration from the original, clean design language of the early 911 F-model
– without seeking to create a historical replica.
The familiar proportions and character of the classic 911 are technically and stylistically evolved
across the chassis, suspension, powertrain and interior. Key decisions are made during the
restoration of the bodywork itself, transforming its proportions and presence into the distinctive
design language of the GTclassic.
At the front, reinterpreted one-piece indicator units with integrated air ducts create a distinctive
appearance. Newly developed LED headlights with a signature daytime running light enhance
visibility for the driver while preserving the period-appropriate character of the front. Retrosport
exterior mirrors on both sides add a distinctive accent. Handcrafted trim elements finished in
Champagne extend from the front across the headlights, window frames and side skirts to the
rear, creating a coherent and refined appearance.
At the rear, the TECHART ducktail with two integrated air vents defines the silhouette of the
GTclassic. One-piece LED taillights combine three-dimensional depth with improved visibility at
night. A distinctive highlight is the 24-carat gold-plated TECHART lettering at the rear.
A bespoke 18-inch forged wheel completes the appearance of the GTclassic. The Retrosport
wheel reinterprets the classic Fuchs design, combining its characteristic design language with
additional openings for improved brake cooling and a clearer view of the Turbo braking system.
The wheels measure 8.5 x 18 inches at the front and 10 x 18 inches at the rear.
Engineered for the driving experience.
In its most powerful configuration, the air-cooled 3.8-liter flat-six engine produces 380 hp and,
together with the specially developed exhaust system, plays a central role in the GTclassic’s
immediate driving experience. The suspension, braking system and engine mounts are
precisely matched to this setup, working together to create the distinctive driving dynamics of
the GTclassic.
A high-performance suspension system with external reservoirs ensures consistent damping
performance even under demanding conditions. The driving dynamics of the GTclassic are
therefore defined not by a single performance figure, but by the precise interaction of
powertrain, suspension and vehicle technology to create a cohesive overall package.
At its core is an intense driving experience, with direct feedback, precise handling and a tangible
connection between driver, car and road.
A cockpit that remains true to its origins.
Since 1987, TECHART has been crafting its own leather interiors and bespoke interior solutions
in Höfingen. In the GTclassic, this expertise forms the foundation for an interior that combines
meticulous craftsmanship with a design consistently focused on the driver. Trim elements
finished in Champagne echo the accents of the exterior and carry them through into the cabin.
The classic five-dial instrument cluster is retained. In typical Porsche fashion, the tachometer
takes center stage, with a scale reaching up to 7,500 rpm. A Chrono Package with analogue
Hanhart stopwatches draws on the tradition of classic rally and motorsport cars. Modern
functions are deliberately integrated with discretion: the Porsche Classic Radio combines
navigation, smartphone integration and Bluetooth hands-free functionality in a single system. A
Hi-Fi system and ambient lighting blend seamlessly into the GTclassic’s interior concept.
Optional Clubsport seats further emphasize the interior’s sporting character.
The GTclassic and beyond.
Throughout the personal creation process of the GTclassic, further technical and design
possibilities can be tailored to the individual preferences of each customer. As a result, every
GTclassic becomes an individual, cohesive concept in which technology, design and materials
are consistently harmonised.
With the GTclassic, TECHART brings almost four decades of experience in development,
performance, design and interior craftsmanship to a classic 911 for the first time. The vehicle
therefore not only reflects an engagement with the company’s own heritage, but also marks a
new chapter in the continued evolution of the TECHART brand.
